I’ve been looking forward to sharing Austin and Wilma’s wedding on the blog ever since the wedding day! If there’s one word to describe their approach to the day, it was intentional. They were so intentional about creating space for meaningful moments to happen, and it made for the best atmosphere.
The wedding took place at the family’s cabin with beautiful views all around. The bride’s grandfather poured years of work and love into the place, but sadly he had passed on before he got to see his granddaughter married there. 2025 had such a rainy spring, and everyone was so happy to wake to sunshine on the wedding morning! There was rain in the forecast, but it held off until everyone was seated under the tent for the reception, and didn’t really start raining in earnest until just after they exited their reception. What an incredible blessing that was!
Things I loved about this wedding: the COLOR! It was the ultimate May color palette. The florals ( of course). The music… Wilma sang a song to honor her father before he walked her down the aisle, and instead of a unity ceremony, the newlyweds sang a song together.
The social hour with fries and lotus drinks and games. The bride and groom played a game of connect four and the winner got to smash the cake after cutting it- scroll to see who won! And the reception ended with a moment of worship… the best way to end a day of worship and celebration!Â
