Mahlon and Cindy’s wedding was the most FUN wedding I’ve ever done! When I got their inquiry, I knew I was going to make it work even though I already had a wedding booked for June. 

And despite the rain and drizzle throughout the day, it was perfect. Their bridal party was quite a party and emotions were running high all day – laughter and tears and so much joy! I have done so many photo sessions at the state capitol building but I never thought I’d get to do wedding photos there! 

After walking around with the bride and groom a bit – and meeting the governor, who came to congratulate them!- we met the bridal party at Denim coffee, just in time for it to pour down rain for about 30 minutes. We had a break from the rain then until the ceremony started and it started drizzling again. Everyone was such good sports about it though and the off and on rain the rest of the day didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. 

I have so many favorite things about this wedding – first thing, the color! The wildflower bouquets were the perfect accent. Mahlon’s face when they were pronounced husband and wife ( scroll to see! 🙂 And a reception with bubbles and cotton candy… How fun is that!?
